Where it  all Began

Kuma's Akitas was founded in memory of our first Akita, Satori Kuma Go (Bear).  Bear was just shy of his thirteenth birthday when he passed.  All of our Akitas hold a special place in our hearts.  Bear, Bear was the start of it all and why we continue to only want Akitas in our lives as canine companions.  Our Akitas are part of our family.  They go where we go.  They are companions before they are show dogs.  We do not believe in shipping our dogs off to handlers who will turn them into champions for us and then return them to us when their championship is complete.  When we show our dogs, we will always be with them.  The difference for us is, this is not a business, it is a family.
