Our Akitas
Kuma's Kongo Shoyo Go

Kongo has quite the personality. He absolutely adores the kids, who enjoy using him as a pillow when watching TV. Once he gets to know you he's always excited to see you. He's protective of the house and the family. His temperment is laid back, but he loves to get out and go hunting, bike riding and just plain run. He enjoys the show ring, loves to be groomed and will jump up on the grooming table for his turn. He moves with ease around the ring and can't wait for his turn. We hope to see him finish his championship soon as he is really starting to fill out.
Kuma's Secret Mission: Rambo

Rambo was the biggest puppy in his liter, lovingly referred to as Bubba Tank and Chubby Wubby as a little tyke. He is extremely curious and demands to be the center of attention. He wants to know what is going on at all times. He is protective, taking after his dad and mimics his dad's protective approach to new comers, but he is also very much like his mother and takes to new people and dogs immediately. He just wants to be everyone's friend, especially if they have a treat for him. Still young, Rambo is a handful in and out of the ring. He is very strong in mind and body. He took Winner's Dog two days in a row at his first showing at 6 months of age in Canby, Oregon. He went on to get Best of Winner's at the Mt. Hood Kennel Club show in Redmond, Oregon the following weekend. At 8 months of age he took Best of Winner's at the Umqua Kennel Club show in Roseburg, Oregon. Most recently at 12 months of age he took Best of Winners at the Clark County Kennel Club show in Ridgefield, Washington. For his limited showings, Rambo is doing well in the show ring and we are anxious to see him grow and mature.
Kuma's Tara Tanie Go

Tara is a very energetic girl. She loves to rough house and play and gives Kongo and Rambo a run for their money. She loves to be the center of attention and she is eager to greet new people and other dogs. Her personality with the family is extremely gentle. There's not an aggressive response in her. She loves the outdoors and running for hours on end. We could not ask for a better girl in Tara. She loves us and we love her. She can't wait to go for a walk and as soon as she hears the leash being pulled out of the closet she races to the door to get her colar on and go for a walk. All of our Akitas are raised with cats and they all get along peacefully. Living in the country we have taken in several abandoned cats and all of our dogs have accepted the new comers into their lives.
